Default Dust covers

Does anyone happen to know the MM size used on a 2018 F-150 lariat for the dust covers? They are halogen if that makes a diffrence.

not as tight as factory, but not sloppy. Still on after 10 months, i did coat the seal with silicone grease during the install to seal better and allow some twisting as i installed them. Lots of room for the heatsink straps! Km

They might not fit. I had a similar set with the big round cooling block like that and it couldn't go in unless i cut the housing.
looks like 83mm might be the fit

Default Retro fitting projectors in 2018 f150

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS!! Just about ruined the lip of the housing all the way around the lense trying to get the permaseal to pry loose. Yes I’ve tried the heat and pry heat and pry. I’ve tried low and slow and high and fast. Seems like Ford doesn’t really want you to retro fit in hopes you’ll buy the $1500 headlight assembly’s. I was Really excited about putting these in. Had switchback halos and everything. Not to mention the amount of disassembly required just to get the headlight out of the truck. Oh it’s midnight and I my headlights are on my kitchen table and my grill is in pieces in the garage in front of truck. I have work tomorrow. Any help on alternatives to the heating method? I’ve seen there are solvents but I kinda need to get these fixed by the weekend.

I pretty much mangled one of my housings attempting this as well. I had retrofit experience going in, but the permaseal was something I had not experienced. Solvents or just cutting the lens off would be my next guess.

Get a pair of pane clip pliers and insert them and pry open the light little by little. It took me about and hour to do each light. Bake for 15 min and pry, another 15 min and pry...

it will come apart. But you may also break clip and in inner reflectors if you go at it to aggressive. IMO, it’s worth it to pay someone to break these apart. I’ve got retrofitting expirience and the lights handed me my *****.

I scored a set of halogens for a killer price thanks to a fellow user and started trying to bake them apart the other day. Man, this permaseal is bull****. LOL. My previous retrofits were on a Tundra and a Nissan and those came apart much easier. Guess those were butyl instead of permaseal. Sheesh. I wish manufacturers would build these things with o-rings and screws or clips instead of this permaseal BS. haha.
