Default Rear Facing Light bar options

Hi all. I have an '06 F150 Long bed. I use my truck at the 4x4 beach and to take my motorcycle to the track, hoping to start racing possibly next year. I often load at night or early mornings with not much light.

I've already ordered a "Go Rhino" lightning series bed bar with plans to throw whatever size light bar will fit on it. This will work but I just discovered bed tents and now I'm reconsidering it all.

What other options are there to mount a light bar to illuminate the bed and behind the truck. Preferably without drilling into the cab and from a high point. (not from the leading edge of the bed.)

THANKS!
Matt

If you are not willing to drill into the cab, that dramatically reduces your options. You said that you want it mounted high...which puts you back on the cab.

After thinking about it, I remembered a set of lights we used on a ranch truck. They used a magnet to attach to the body and I wired on a cigarette lighter plug to them. This allowed me to plug them in when I wanted to use them, run the wire through the rear window slider when using them, and point them any direction I needed light since they attached anywhere the magnet would stick!

See something like these, but these already have the magnet and cigarette lighter plug attached:

Installed the "Go Rhino" lighting series bar and put a 32" triple row Amazon light bar friday night. Tested with a 12v source in the garage but didn't have a fuse to test at night. Will get photos of light output at night when i get the chance!
So far looks good, 32" from the front looks a little narrow but from the bed looks alright. I had to drill to mount the light bar rather than the 4 predrilled holes provided.

I would probably suggest 4 seperate led lights to someone going after a similar look/function. I wanted to try the light bar, and made wireing a little easier.

I'll see how i like it, still have plenty of options from this point. One could mount a larger bar forwards and a smaller rearwards from underneath if needed, but thats over kill for my use.
