I'm at a loss, about to just uninstall the raptor grill lights... I tried grounding to a body bolt and grounding directly to the negative terminal on the battery and still no luck. It blew the fuse again immediately both times as soon as I flipped the switch. I changed out my turn bulb that the positive is spliced to as well, no luck.

Are you sure the ground and positive wires are correct on the light itself? Just try and direct wire them to the battery, as in touching the wire ends to the correct post real fast to see if they work. Maybe you got a bad light and something got crossed up.

Well I disconnected the wires for the raptor lights and just returned the wiring for the turn signal/parking light to stock and they work just fine again. It looks like a need to rethink how to connect the wiring for the raptor lights, maybe to a switch. I feel like the wires to the raptor lights themselves should be good, because not only was it a pre-wired harness, but they actually worked fine and came on for a few minutes when I first hooked everything up. I guess we'll see what the company says if/when they respond to my questions. For now I just need a beer and a break from the aggravation!

Is it possible that they're wired in reverse? I got some penny lights that had black and white wires and the black was the positive wire (black is usually negative), and it kept blowing a fuse because of that. LEDs draw so little it can't be an issue of overloading the circuit unless there's a ground issue. That has to be it.

If you can, post pictures of the set up and how the wires are run.

I don't think they came wired in reverse because they worked and lit for the first few minutes. I don't think they would've come on at all if that was the case... I'll take some pictures today and post them.

Pre-wired from the manufacturer, 3 leds going to a plug.

The plug only connects one way. The bottom half of the harness just had the black ground and red power. They worked when I first installed them.

The end just coiled up and disconnect right now. Two wire taps.

LEDs can be picky.....so have you, or have you not tried to touch the black wire to the positive battery terminal and the red wire to the battery negative terminal briefly to see if they come on?

Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but there's only 2 red and 2 black? There should be 3 red and 3 black.

Just one red positive and one black negative... I hooked them up directory to a power source both ways and they would come on. Finally got a hold of the manufacturer and he was stumped as well, said it must be something in the harness or plug. He's sending me out a whole new unit and providing a return label and money for me to send back the defective one. Hopefully the second time is a charm!
