Powering fog light switch...NEED HELP
#11
Hey man quick question. If i add-a-fuse to the positive side of my light feed (the wire my directions say to hook to the positive terminal on my battery) and tap it into the engine compartment fuse box (hot-in-run if i can find one) will this turn the lights and switch off when i turn my truck off?
With that small of a load you could probably dispense with the direct-to battery connection, and use the add-a-fuse as the feed. This will turn off the lights when the truck is not running, regarless of the position of the manual switch.
To use the 'Hot-in-Run source as the 'permissive' and not the feed, you need to use the relay configuration mentioned earlier - with the battery as the feed.
best of luck
