They protrude thru the back of the fog light and are sealed up mating the projector and oem fog light housing together as one. They are bolted from the inside with stainless steel 6-32 bolts and nylon locknuts.

I put in a pair of yellow Optilux 9145 bulbs a year ago. They are perfect in the fog. Old school yellow.

I use MiniH1 foglamps with 3000k. Definitely overkill for everyday use, but works great in actual dense fog that we get around here.

So the newer trucks, do they have a round housing like the 08? the lens is melted to the plastic so it isn't like the headlights where you can heat them up and separate them, I tried.

No they are applied together with a type of putty it looks like. Put them in the oven at 200 degrees for 7 minutes then pry with a screwdriver on the edges. The lense will literally sound like it cracked but is actually letting loose of that putty or whatever it is. I've retro'd at least four pairs of these already, comes apart really nice!

Oh BTW scobar, I was in litchfield the other day working at the Walmart on their refrigeration racks. Where you located?
