ANZO is half of that...anyone have experience with ANZO?
In my experience, pretty much all aftermarket headlights and tail lights come from the same couple of factories in China. You might as well just get the cheapest set you can find if that's the route you want to take. Use some good RTV on the joints when you get them and hope for the best.

That's the reason I spent the money and had my OEM taillights pulled apart and retroed just like Bil does with the OEM headlights.

STAY AWAY from recon anything man! Every single piece of recon stuff that i either bought or was given as a present ended up costing me money! Every single piece has come apart at the seams and allowed water to flow in like crazy, example, my last truck, 07 sierra with smoked recons on cab seals all broke and allowed water to flow in, truck was more or less a drive way queen so didnt know this happened till about a week after our worst rain storm of last year hit, opened the door to about an inch of water on dash and nice flooded carpet. So after 500 roof weld, and repaint job and 3 weeks of cleaning interior of truck out i vouched never ever to purchase or be given any of there junk!

Well let me ask this...
My stock 2008 FX2s have a slight haze inside the plastic. The bulbs don't put out a lot of light...I'm not really interested in looks but rather increasing the light output. What are the brightest bulbs I can put in the stock housing without rewiring?
Thanks

I purchased a beat up set for about $45 at a salvage yard. With so many 150's around, there are many that have been wrecked. My take offs had many scratches and even a few chips around one of the edges. The odd thing was that you really would not notice these significant imperfections unless you almost had your nose on the taillight.

There are lots of high performance bulbs out there; but keep in mind that high performance also means reduced life span. The bulbs burn hotter, which makes them brighter; but also burns up the filament sooner. Anyway, let's not derail the thread.

eric70634 - wow those look really good! I have a buddy that has done his own retrofits so I will have him help. Thanks for your input.

beemerdude - all the research I've been doing is making me super hesitant about about buying them in terms of durability and light output.

The mini h1 retro is actually fairly easy. Only had to dremel 2 places down and make a washer for the back. Mines not perfectly lined up but ill redo it one day. Lol.
