So, I've been running my retros since Sunday, and I am happy to report that they are working flawlessly. It has been -25C here all week, and the DSP ballasts fire up every time. I am VERY happy with the performance!! Everyone that gets in my truck at night is blown away with the headlights. I actually look forward to driving it at night now, which is not something that could be said a week ago!

Well, I got almost a month of trouble free operation, then this morning the passenger light failed to fire. I tried it multiple times with no luck. The temp this morning was around -24C, which should not be a problem, but I suspect it is. A little later today I will begin to trouble shoot it.

Which ballasts do you have? SS or DSP?

DSP. I wasn't expecting to have issues with them, but I guess they are aftermarket so there is a risk.
I've done the troubleshooting, and its a bad ballast. Tried powering each side direct from a battery, and the passenger side still does not work. Swapped ballasts (left to right) and the problem follows. The bad ballast does not buzz at all when power is applied, whereas the good one you can hear.
Time to get in touch with TRS, and put the OEM halogens back in. Ugh, not looking forward to the stock lights.

Since March of last year, I'm on my second set of Xba led drivers, my third relay harness, and in the process of upgrading to dsp ballasts because I've had all kinds of trouble with the older generation ballasts this winter...I know morimoto is supposed to be the best aftermarket manufacturer; but I've still had my fair share of headaches with their products.
