For your proposed set-up, I think Cowboy is right. You should change the 20" E-series bar from "Combo" to "Spot" (Not Hyperspot. Extremely narrow beam) for sure. The E-series Combo just won't give you the reach that you want. The D2 Wide's on each side of the bar will give you the spread that you want at closer range. But I'm concerned about the reach. The D2 Driving may give you a bit more distance. On your dual fog mounts, I can't say about D.O.T. compliant fogs (are they amber or clear). I've not used them. But I can tell you that D2 Driving lights will still give you good spread at closer range. So I think you're good for close range. But a bit concerned on distance. I've not seen the distance of the 20" bar, so I can't really advise you on that. Cowboy has given you very good advice.

Hi Cowboy and Scarlet,

I asked the off road shop about using the 20" spot vs. the 20" combo and he said that for my application, I don't need the distance the spot would provide. He said that if this was on a sandbuggy or an off-road vehicle where I was traveling high mph, then he would agree with throwing more light way out ahead of me, but I'm old and I slow down quite a bit (like 40 mph) on these roads, so he said there is no way at those speeds I would overdrive the setup he is recommending.

He did say that some people don't like the spot lighting because it moves around so much and can be fatiguing over long periods of time. Not sure about that one.

Anyway, once I get it set up, I'll take pictures of the front of the truck as well as nightime pics so anyone can see the light spread.

Thanks for all your time and input. All we have is time, so I appreciate you taking yours and spending it for my benefit.

Mark
