Good to know epoxy can withstand the heat. I worried about that.

Got back at it for a short while late last night. Ready to install! Here's hoping I get to install 'em this afternoon or tonight.

Test to ensure all is well:

I decided to put the TRS provided BIXENON letters on just before seal-up. 'twas tricky since I had to stick each letter on individually and the shroud was already jb'd to the projector.

I also have some machine screws through the reflector bowl holding them in as well. There is a guide I somewhat followed on f150online.com.

I planned to install the headlights on Sunday. Got 'em in after work today.

The installation is very simple and took one non-hurried hour including installing the wiring. The TRS kit is pretty much plug and play.

Pardon the dirty truck.

Installed!

Cutoff needs a bit of tweaking yet. I didn't have the driver's light bolted tightly enough when I was in the testing stage. Now that it is tight its off a bit. It is one or two degrees off counter-clockwise. It is almost straight, the driveway isn't.

They're too bright to stand in front of on high beam. They work very well!

Aimed too low, methinks:

Cutoff looks cool on the lenses IMO:

Starting point:

Its definitely better than stock, even now.

The v1.1 was the upgraded version of the first gen fxr which still is a very good projector, and the v3 is the latest version which has the best overall performance + there are the 2.5' and 3' lens choices for the v3.

You did great work slyd! You can always shim the heads at the mounting points if the cutoff is critical to you, otherwise looking good!

Thanks tux.

Oh, in case anybody needs to know: you DO need load resistors if putting LEDs in the front turn signals...
I had read somewhere that it was not necessary for the front end.
