I'm looking to buy a new HID kit and I was curious as to which brands and/or websites to check out. I don't need new projectors I am just going to use the oem housing again. I'm sure someone else has already made a similar thread but it's a bit hard to search the forums on my phone. Thanks.

Edit: Actually, I would purchase some hid projectors if I could find a good deal. Do projectors increase the efficiency or is it not worth spending the money? Also how hard to install projectors?

Projectors are more than worth it. Tons more light coverage, and no glare emission to bother oncoming traffic like you get with HID in the OEM housing. www.theretrofitsource.com

I wonder if the Factory HID Projectors on the 13's will fit in the 12's?

I'm pretty sure they will fit but it's the plug on the back thats different. We'll have to figure out an adapter harness to work with the 09-12 models.

I bet you could just use the housings and install aftermarket HIDs. That is what I was thinking anyway.

Not worth it. The factory HID housings cost a ton, $1500+ for both sides. They use cheaper generic Valeo projectors with fluted lenses, really dumbs-down the output. You will get better performance from a retro-fit at a far better price. Not to mention customization to your application for better looks.

I am probably the only one, but do NOT buy a kit fro Jon To, the kits are the exact same kits sold on ebay, I have torn down both ballasts and bixenon controllers. I would do the Sylvania X2 HID type bulbs that are 69.99 instead. HID kits in general are usually asian made, and fairly low quality,
