Default Light Kit for running boards

I have a 2019 F150 and I bought from F150Leds.com a kit for lighting the running boards. The wiring installs to the inside wiring under the rear floor panel. I need to know which wires I need to use for the power and one for the ground wire. The instructions for wiring is not satisfying to me. Is there someone who knows what I am talking about and can provide me with the correct wires color wise to connect with. By connecting to this source I am also wondering if I will set off any codes for doing this. I would appreciate any information from any of you. Thanks for reading!

No, I have instructions, but they only go up to 2015 F150 trucks. I was looking for a more accurate wire based on my my model year.

I've got a 2020, but I took advice from another member with a 2019. You're looking for a "grey with violet tracer". There are two of them. Look for the one on the bottom of the harness, if not that one, try the other. Ground can be grabbed anywhere easy. I wouldn't use the connectors they provide. Either splice and solder, or use "Positap" connectors. Those don't destroy the wires, and are reusable. https://www.posi-products.com/posiplug.html

Will need to pick some of these up when I finally drop the cash for AMP steps. Just holding out for a sale while the mod bug has been satisfied for now... Definitely preferable to butt connectors and makes it easier to remove than soldered wires (not by much, but every little bit counts).

Thanks for the insight. I'll be looking again for the gray with violet tracer!

They have more than just the taps, they have a version of butt connectors, fuse holders, etc. LOL, you might want to get on ebay now, and order them. I've been waiting for 2 weeks for mine to be delivered, another set of them. Not because of the shipper, but USPS is pretty slow right now with Covid19 related shipments.

Trust me, I know! My wheels were shipped via FedEx. Got them in 2 days. The lug nuts, TPMS, stem caps, etc. were sent, USPS took forever to deliver and when delivery day came around they ran out of time and had to deliver the next day! A week after the wheels showed up finally had everything to start the party. Not really knocking them for it, as the pandemic is likely a burden.

Won't be buying AMP steps anytime soon. The level, wheels, and tires have scratched the itch for now.

How did you run the wires into the cab, through the door jam or via another means?
