(inb4 wtf)

[SARCASM]

Pro tip for waiting for **** to cure/dry/set:

PICK UP A GUITAR

Seriously, I was waiting for a model airplane to finish drying in 7th grade, and I picked up my brother's guitar. That model airplane is still sitting there on my dad's garage bench (probably not, but whatever) and I still haven't put down the guitar. Haha.

[/LOL]

Anyways, I'm bored as can be at work and re read everything you did. As soon as I can find some lightly used or new housings that aren't going to kill my wallet (canadian money sucks majorly right now), I'll order everything up and get started. I want to do the same thing but Blue Flame PTM. Also might look into some switchback LED strips for above and below the F150 badge inside the housings (if available. If not, I know TRS has switchback halos). Probably V3 Tritons as well, but that's separate haha.

huh.

They look good, I think the Chrome fits in nicely with the rest of the truck. Nice to see that you finally got them finished and installed.

I wanted to bump this, as I think this is probably the best thread yet re: late model retros.

Too, IMHO, this build is the prettiest result I've ever seen. A++++

Wow, thanks... Bilinvic's are far prettier IMO because he's an award winning model builder. I did this in my crappy apartment with limited space lol

I haven't had any more condensation issues. The electronics are working great, the drivers side light, with the exception of the bowl issue looks good and clear all the time... The passenger side has that milky glaze from doing the headlight restoration.

I'm going ot start sourcing another pair so I can tear them down and redo everything that is wrong. It's going to be a few months before I do it though, Other monetary priorities have come up.

looks great!!

I bought bilinvic retro since I just do not have the patience to pull something like this off and make it look good. The retro I did on my ranger was a disaster lol

Version 2.0 is coming soon, the artifacts are really bugging the hell out of me now

I just got back from drive from Florida, to Tennessee, to all around tennesee for a week and a half, back to florida, and back to Tennessee and back. I racked up almost 3300 miles (3295.7 to be exact). Most of the trip was in the dark due to less people on the road and easier traveling, when it's pitch black on the interstate with no street lighting and you can actually see the stars, the artifacts are very distracting.

I've also noticed some streaking on the passenger side bowl but not as bad. I think I got a defective set.

I'll be getting two new housings and just swapping painted components. It'll be easy peasy. The projector bowls will be swapped with the ones I already have and I may add an LED Feature. Not 100% sure yet.

Wow, I built these 4 years ago?!!? I just returned from another road trip in the mountains, my lights are dangerously dim, I nearly missed a curve on a mountain road because of a missing sign, if I hadn't turned my XBLED fog lights on just a few seconds before hand, and got the reflection of the other signs, I would have crashed... It was then I realized I have an issue. I'm going to buy a cheap set of Morimoto D2S bulbs to put in place of the CBI's to see if that is a good enough to get me by as I'm not ready to tear these apart again.

Both headlights I used to retrofit were front end crash pull-offs from eBay. I want to buy a new unscathed set and transfer my painted parts into the new set, as well as EVOX-R 2.0 projectors.

I am 90% certain my projector bowls are burnt, since when I turn my high beams on I get plenty of usable white light, but my foreground light is GONE. My cutoff though is still fairly sharp.
