LEDs and smoked Lens Headlights

Good to know on f150leds. I have exchanged some emails with them and they seemed solid, so I'm surprised you've heard bad things, but thanks for heads up. I've exchanged emails with Adam at 4x4truckleds too and agree, seems top notch. Plus better price, so I think I'll go that route. Thanks.

All,
After 4 years I have yanked my Spyder CCFL Halo's (which I converted to HID, low beams only) and put OEM's back in, due to some problems I was having with Spyders, plus I was starting to think they looked to much like Chinese junk (and they performed that way too, until I converted to HID). Anyhoo, I am quickly reminded how poor the OEM lighting is, plus I miss the smoked look. So instead of the more complicated HID conversions, I was gonna go with LEDs. However, first I need a new set of smoked lenses. Does anybody have any recommendations one way or another on smoked lenses? Ebay has some relatively cheap ones ($109 available, shown below).

I'm wanting to do the same and these are the ones I bought.

Not a bad price and I always like dealing with Amazon Smile and Prime.
Hope to be installing the lights this weekend but haven't decided on which LED to use yet. Will be using these to start with https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and might have to convert to LED sooner than later.
Looking forward to your experience.

4X4TruckLeds.com did me right. I put their LEDs into the aftermarket smoked headlights I bought and my truck looks great, with much improved lighting.

I can't comment on the output (post some night shots if you can) but I will say the smoked lense really does tie the front end together really well!

Looks great! I was actually looking a the same set, but they have an Led string over the turn signal and up the side. Can you confirm the LED lights part number that you went with? And did you seal the housings before installing these to prevent fog?

And the LEDs were from www.4x4truckleds.com - XHP50 Series (6000 Lumen) LED Headlight Bulbs for 2004-2014 Ford F-150 (H13)

Check these out, no LEDs, I have had them on for a week now and looks great, no fogging. I did seal them with clear silicone as insurance against fogging.

Have you used these at night yet? Any reviews? If you can post some night time down the road pics to show just how this housing/LED combo throws light, that would be great!

So I couldn't wait any longer for the OP to chime in on the "throw" of LED's through the smoked lenses and i bought a set of these from the DT Moto seller on eBay, and when installed and lights were on I found there were smudges and blotches on the inside of the lens. Nice looking lenses, and blotches weren't as noticeable when the lights were turned off, but these are going back for a return. Maybe I'll try the other vendor and not end up with a set with similar blotches. Some pics for reference, using stock halogen bulbs. Look closely at the second pic and you can see how the blotches almost appear as thought there is moisture inside these, and this was straight out of the box:
