Default Fake Raptor grille lights

I got the Raptor grille light kit from Stage 3, and put them on this morning.
Bear with me, I'm going to try and show how I did it.

First off, the directions aren't completely correct. It says to use the slots, unless you have the mesh grille. The mesh mount is two holes. The slots let the lights down too low on my XLT chrome package, but the two round holes were perfect.

I've had bad experiences with LED lightbars mounted below the tailgate, so I really looked at the lights themselves carefully, and decided to fill the backside of them with RTV, to waterproof them.

When you pull the hood insulation to run the wires, forget about the pushpins, they disappear somewhere. Plus, when you remove the flap hidding the headlight bolt, you'll destroy that one. Always have some of these in your spare parts. It'll give you a warm feeling knowing you put things back together the right way.

The kit comes with T taps, give them to your dog or grandbrat, and do it right. I soldered mine, and coated the connections with liquid electrical tape.

I'm going to try and put photos in the right order.

Thanks. I'm a bit concerned about the light reflecting off the grille at night, maybe it won't, but if it does, some black tape or plastdip might be able to be applied on the top bar. I'll find out once it gets dark tonight.
I'm kicking around having the grille surround PTMed as well.

It didn't look like there was much reflection, I'm going to let it go.
I've had two different tailgate light bars, and both failed due to water. The second one, I tried to weatherproof it, and it still took a dump on me. That's why I asked how long you've had this on the front, and why I filled the back up with RTV. Time will tell, eh?

Thought I'd complete the look on the rear.
