Default LED Puddle Lamp for 2013 XLT 4x4

Is an aftermarket set of LED puddle lamps a plu and play upgrade? I want to add a set to my truck. What brands are good? Appreciate your advice

If your talking about the ones under your mirrors that's a no. To covert to led you have to cut off the lens and replace the bulb with an led replacement. It's really not that bad of a process, there is a write up/how to on here somewhere

I forget the name of the guy its something like tuxedo11 or something like that, he used
2 - 3022-CWHP4 $6.95 Puddle lights from like superbrightleds I think.

Its an easy process. Just dremel the lens off, insert the LED festoon and silicone the lens back. Done.

I don't actually have the lights in my mirrors right now but I want to buy a set and add them to the mirrors. I have the hole underneath the with a plug to remove on it now. I pulled the plug and didn't find any wires so I will assume that I will need to hook them in to something in the mirror. I appreciate your help and advice.

Once you figure out the wiring you can buy the factory puddle lamps already converted to LED here... http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/Pu...ghts_NL3C.html
