I just swapped out the old cruise control button lamps on the steering wheel with blue leds. both sides light up but the right side buttons (the reset, accel, coast) light up even when i have my headlight switch off. What could be making these stay lit up? i have a 2000 ford f150 also.

 

Maybe there's a small amount of power still being fed to those. Not enough to light an incandescent, but enough to light an led.
