Default Installed Leds, but seem to not be working correctly

Hey guys, just installed the Headlight and fog light leds from 4x4truckleds.com. Install seemed ok, but seems to have alot of glare, I assume I will have to adjust the headlights to aim lower to rid this??

Also, the fog lights seem to be the real issue. Its impossible to install them like the instructions say in the 3 o clock, 9 o clock position. They only way to lock them in is to put them in the opposite way. My issue I am seeing as you can see in the pics, is that one side of each led fog is not lighting up, and their lighting up opposite sides. Help me out here, whats my issue??

Maybe their is a way to install them the correct way I dont know, but I know for a fact one side lighting up cannot be an issue of how its put into the fog light.

This is a 2005 ford f150 lariat by the way.

I'm not sure if how the bulb locks in is different in the rectangular and round fog lights. But that could certainly be something to look into.

Maybe contact the vendor on here. He is usually pretty active on the forum and seems to have good customer service.

Edit: after a quick search I learned the 2004-05 use a 9145 bulb while 2006-up use a 9140. I thought they used the same bulb and maybe they locked in different. I'm not sure what the problem could be.

The 9145 and 9140 are the same base. All thats different is wattage, the 9140 is 40 watts and the 9145, you guessed it, is 45 watts.

Do the bulbs not have a set screw or even a ball that snaps into holes as you rotate the bulb?

The fogs are not like the Headlights where they can be adjusted. So they have to be installed upside down to lock in. I mean that's one issue, the one I'm more worried about is why only one side on each of them is not lit up. I may try and flip them tonight, not sure if that will help but we will see.

Was reallu hoping these were plug and play for what i paid for them, but I guess that pipe dream is gone.

What size did you order for the fogs?

Yeah, something isnt right then. A diode on each side should light up to fill up the housing. He will take care of the issue though.

So guys lol, I flipped thr fog lights, one from the right to the left, and left to right. Well that fixed the light issue, but I just hope the fog lights being upside down like that will be fine. I'll check tonight to see if they are aiming up or something.

Now just gotta figure out thr Headlights, summers22, did you have to re aim the Headlights When you installed yours.

Your headlight LEDs should come in the correct possition to be plug n play. If you have the old directions, do not follow them. Just install them as they'll come pre set.

I didn't not re aim my headlights after installation.
