My 12 didnt come with them, I added a wire to the mirror side. As the door side harness, the wire is already there, its Purple.

My 2016 xlt 302a doesnt have puddle lights either, or the led spotlights. Both can be added, but I know I dont need them.

They were a cool factor in my 12, never really helped me, or had much of a use. They were cool though.

On the 15 and 16s, it seems like a PITA to add them. As you need new wiring harness, and have to change data in the truck! No thanks...

To have the Puddle lights on a 15 or 16, I believe you need to also have the led spotlights!

No puddle lights on my '16 XLT SCREW. I think they're included if you have the side spotlights?

My 2013 F150 has puddle lights (non-tow mirrors).

09-14 lariat and above come with them, uh huh...

For 16s, you have to have a minimum xlt with spot light leds.

I'm considering doing this as a safety factor alone as well as convenience for my wife. I'll do the puddle or ground lights that come on when doors are open. Have the ground ones on our fire truck and they do help.

On previous Gens, it was easy to add Puddle lamps, if your truck didnt come with them!

Just install puddle lamps and ground to rear facing blinker ground wire, then run positive from puddle lamp, to mate with Purple wire on door side connector.

I used thin, solid copper wire, for a garage door, stuck it through mirror side connector, used electrical tape to secure to other wires in bundle. Then hot glued in connector itself!

Never had a issue, in the 3 yrs I had them on my truck! I retrofitted 31mm led pods in my puddle lamps, using clear rtv to reseal the clear lamp cover.

Pretty much my plan. I'll probably do it when I add front blinkers in the reflectors on my mirrors and repaint them.

Got my lights the other day, and since it was above freezing out, I thought I'd throw the new lights in. I have aftermarket TT mirrors, and my connectors are different. These replacements use spade type connectors, and as luck would have it, I didn't have any to adapt to. Oh well, I'll get some and wait for the next warm spell.
Could have stripped and soldered a splice, but just didn't feel like it.

Default Advance light

2011 F-150 Platinum 4x4 ecoboost twin turbo black..
had that same issue twice on my truck. First time they said no issue found. Second time they found the problem and told it was $1975.00 ibut the guy looked up and found out I had warranty which he missed. Twenty minutes later director telling me it was a fuse causing problem. Now out of warranty nand here we are again with your same problem. Sell that bucket while it runs. Not being disrespectful and I hope I don't offend you fellow truck owners but let's be real. I feel these are just the times we live in now. Stay tuned for my YouTube video where I put up all my invoices and complaints.
