Honest review of 4x4TruckLED's led headlights

Installed the CrystalLux H11 and 9005 LED bulbs from 4x4TruckLEDs.com. Used the anti-flicker CANBUS adapter and bigger rubber boot on the low beams. No written instructions supplied with kit, which I found lacking, so I relied on a competitor's install video <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4qq3RrBWV4>.
I'm not thrilled with slicing an X in the boots and zip-tying the CANBUS harness outside of the light housing.
I haven't found any good explanation about "clocking" the bulbs but these kits come with a tiny Allen wrench to adjust them. The high beam bulbs seemed to be canted to about the 1-o'clock position so I used the wrench and rotated them to the 12-o'clock position. The low beam bulbs seemed to be clocked correctly. My concept of clocking is to face the LEDs to the sides as opposed to up/down.
Hope thery're sturdy, saw the "torture test" video of the previous model in a related thread so that was encouraging. I installed according to the video and it was straight forward but hope I don't have to repeat the process anytime soon. Adjusted aim slightly lower because the stock lights seemed high with an empty truck . First impressions - much better and more visible light - I prefer the white color. It's nice to be able to see my lights on lighted roads or with surrounding traffic The light output seems higher but I don't have an objective measure for that. The vanity meter says white color lights looks better than the daylight color on this white truck.

You cant aim down glare. At least you're aware and want to solve the issue instead of just driving around blinding people.

uncommonly sensible
Well it's been a year, running the CrystalLux H11 and 9005 LED bulbs from 4x4TruckLEDs.com with headlights set as DRLs, so they're always on. They still work. Go figure? I've yet to have anyone flash me, so I think the beam cut-off and aiming is adequate.
