HID vs LED Fog light upgrade.
Diode Dynamics XP80 LED Fog lights look great, but are cosmetic only as distribution of light reflecting in the housing is bad, HID lights provide better functionality.
Can anyone recommend a good HID Fog light to match 502A package HID lighting?
Or should I just go with the XP80 LED Fog?
JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright Max 50W High Power H10 are an option too for half the cost.

Go with LED Fog Lights... check out our XHP Series fog lights. They are the same thing you'd put in your headlights and look amazing. They'll actually give you great performance.
The XP80's are great from Diode Dynamics, we sell a few of them, but as you said, they really are cosmetic and can't throw off as much light as you really want.
Check out my truck here with the XHP series Fog Lights. Available in the 6000 lumens (same as headlights) and we even have a few sets left of the 3000 lumen kind, which give you a few color filters (I use the yellow on my truck these days which are great for bad weather)

I've been looking at the Morimotos for my truck as well, I love LEDs and I love a nice clean cutoff as well.
I'm also looking at just replacing the bulbs in my factory housings with a bright white LED bulb but I've been reading that the factory housings scatter light pretty bad?
Can anyone compare those 2 senarios?
Something like this vs. Morimoto...

Our XHP lights don't scatter light. And with your fogs, the light will be aimed in front of your truck so you'll light up the whole road in front of you.
I don't run the Morimotos because I don't care about a cut-off with my fogs. I have my fogs aimed to shower light in front of my truck. My headlights have the the cut-off.
If you want a cut-off and less lumen, then the morimoto are the way to go. If you want a lot of light in front of your truck, the XHP are the way to go (hard to get a cut-off in that small housing with SO MUCH lumen is why I say that)

Would I have any issues with getting flashed from oncoming traffic? I like the idea of having brighter light for less cash but I also like that crisp line my projectors give me. It's a toss up so I'm just trying to gather as much info as I can before making my purchase.

I am going with Morimotos for my fog lights. Primarily due to getting the black Anzos, so the Morimoto fogs will be a closer match with the headlights with the darker lens/housing. Probably buy my LEDs low/high beams and my fogs soon. Probably do turn signals while I am at it.
