I made my decision to go with bilinvic for two reasons-
1. The pics of his work, the rep he has on other boards, the way he has his side business set-up with links to his available options and how he stands behind his product.
2. I read on here that he placed 1st (if I remember correctly) in a model building competition. That means he has alot of patience and is very meticulous and an*l about being a perfectionist! (There is no way in hell I could be that patient with something like that!) thus the reason for the long wait time!
Well more than 2 but still...
These are just "MY" reasons for going with "bilinvic" and has nothing to do with anyother person on here that does them, they all look great but this is how I choose.

One more for bilinvic!! AMAZING customer service. I reached out to different retro-fitters and by far, bilinvic had the best customer service. He replies super fast to all emails. Poor guy, I must have asked a million questions. All retro-fitters will have a wait. Why not wait for the best?

I have some thinking to do. Driving at night tonight in the rain and not even being able to tell if my lights were on really told me I need these done asap.

What about waiting until the next model year comes out and buying the parts? I would thing someone will be getting a kit together with the parts list.
This way it would be all factory stuff...

I can pretty much guarantee that the factory projectors will be inferior to the performance of the FX-R, or even the MH1 projector. The projector lens will likely be a Fresnel lens, which, for the lack of a better term, diffuses the light. TRS projectors come equipped with 100% clear lens for optimal performance with the added bonus of entertaining color flicker.
Yes, this OEM HID projector will be much better than the plain 'ole primitive halogen bulb and reflector set-up....and yes, the new factory F150 housings look decent.....but, for the price of replacing your '09-'12 headlights with these, a retrofit will definitely be less painful for your wallet as well as the explanation to your beloved spouse as to why you need these!!!lol
The benefit of keeping OEM equipment is piece of mind for some though.
With a retrofit, you can customize your headlights to be one-of-a-kind creation...so when you pull up to a stop light, heads will turn your way. Trust me, I know this very well ever since I have retrofitted my blacked out headlights.
Either way you go, it's going to be better than what you have now!!!

I got the special white. THe escalade was white too, But it also will match my BMW x5 so Im happy to have gotten the same. My neighbors have all black vehicles so I'm happy to stick with all white. Kind of a neat contrast.
