^^^Thanks for the info!
I saw your rig as well.
Those lights look great.
Along with my topper and BedRug (universal cut-to-fit), this could be very well be my next mod.

I now see what you mean about the clear versus orange turn signal bulbs.
They do reflect the color quite a bit.
Haven't had any problems with the law yet?
(Didn't think clear turns were legal)

And, sorry...another question.
How's the light output compare to the stockers?
I'd imagine about the same, since those lights still use the same bulb, right?
But then again, a clearer lens shouldn't scatter the light as much, so maybe they are better?

Hope you don't mind me tacking onto this thread.
I'm sure the info might come in handy anyway.

No problems with the law on the clear turn signals. I've always used them in my trucks. The only colors that I know of that are illegal are blue and red, those are for show cars/trucks. The light is noticeably brighter than my stock lights due to the fact that the stockers were pretty yellow (oxidized). I'm just running the bulbs that came with the headlights when I bought them. I got them off of ebay for $79 w/free shipping. I've got some stock corners that are pretty clean, if you need them, just pay shipping and I'll send them to you.

The orange strip at the bottom of the turn signal is all you need for them to be legal.

as long as you have the orange/yellow/amber bulb in the clear lense it'll be fine. a state trooper pulled me over for having my red ones in, he said if they were any other color besides red he wouldn't have stopped me.

Depends on your state laws. In Georgia and North Carolina you have to have a DOT approve corner light, which means you have to have the amber reflective marker on your corner light. It also has to be the size that DOT requires, but if the light is DOT approved you don't have to worry about the size. Some states even require that the bulb glow amber, but they have mirrored amber bulbs to fix that issue.

They sure look sharp!
I polished my stockers up as good as I could, but they're still lacking in the clarity department.
Yes they are a direct fit. The only issue I had with installation was that the screws holding in the stock corners did not work with the lightning ones. I ended up swapping the little clips the screws go into, but I hardly consider that an issue, and I love the way they look. And with all the fogs on I get coverage in the lows the mids and the highs.

Thanks for all the responses.
I suppose I'm worried about nothing as it is regarding what bulbs are in the corner markers.
There's a lot of other things LEO look out for around here before ever thinking about lighting violations...
