Default Ford OEM bed Light Switch

Just thought I would post this for those wanting to use the oem switch for their led bed light install. Here is the part number I ordered and received today.

It installs in the factory location in the drivers side of the bed. I wired up my lights yesterday only to find out the this switch, when straight wired, is a momentary type switch.

Pic looks like the OEM bed switch but the description says steering wheel switch as you said.

Did you ever get the OEM switch to work or was the momentary function of it a deal breaker?

Default Can you add bed lighting if didn’t come with original package?

Today while doing some trim work and contemplating if I would waste time and money to reglue the cloth on my roll-x tonneau and decided I was once and for all look st getting lighting for the bed. (Prefer under the side rails)

Saw this post and now curious if my 2010 Lariat will accomadate this and does anyone have recommendations for LED strips that will light up the bed at night. (See pic). Think a good investment. Although new cargo light with LED brights help.

Any recommendations? I likely will want switch to be auto sensor or near the tailate it not inside cab. As long as I am not working on engine I am ok.

Back of my bed. Would like to add LED strip lights or rope lighting under the side rails. Still debating to glue them cloth strips back up or cut off. I don’t see their purpose.
