Default Feasibility of aftermarket rear view mirror LED floods

I had a hard time getting the total package wish list for my 2017 F150. How feasible is it to add the rear view mirror flood lights to my truck. Can you install the OEM LED floodlights in a vehicle that didn't come from the factory with them installed (ok, over the years I've had several contractors tell me anything is possible with the right amount of money)? Is it realistic and financially feasible? Are there clean aftermarket alternatives. I don't want to mount another light head. The OEMs were so clean and hidden in the turn signal lens.

Not looking for puddle lights, but forward facing floods from the side view mirror.

It can be done yes, you need new mirrors as the ones you have are not wired for them LED Side Mirror spotlights. If you currently have 8 pin mirrors (most XLTs have 8-pin unless they have BLIS, Lariat and above have 22pin) you will need new door harnesses and door modules. You will also need the switch on the dashboard below your left side vent, and ForScan to enable them. In my opinion it is not worth doing for what you get. The shine out sideways, not forward and turn off at 4mph. To me, they are relatively useless.

Thanks Jon. It doesn't sound practical to add the lights as you described. Can you get the flood light that fits in the turn signal area and wire it to a switch without going thru the truck wiring? It sounds like that would work even better than the OEM set up.

It’s safe to say anything is possible. The turn signal/spotlight is serviceable separate I believe. Not 100% positive though. If it is and you can snake the wires through the mirror into the connector and so forth it def doable.
