Default Dual 40" Light Bars Behind Grille

Just wanted share my recent addition to my truck. I went with dual 40" light bars behind the grille. Factory grille blocks some light and I will probably look into getting a more open mesh style but I think it turned out ok. Slight modification to the grille stop so the bracket mounted to the factory hole and horn relocation was required. Also had to notch the grille support that runs from the hood to the bottom of the grille so top light bar had clearance.

Looks nice! A lot less work than I had to do to get dual 30s behind my 2005 grille.

I'd be interested in some brackets and detailed install instructions w/ pictures... Looks very clean. I'm curious to how it would work with curved bars.

I would really like to know what brands of led bars you used and did you make your own brackets? This a really awesome setup that I am thinking about doing.

Looks like the standard amazon chinese bars and the brackets that come with them. The silver bar is added, along with longer allen bolts.

Default Dual Light Bar Behind Grille

Looks sick! I'm trying to do the exact same thing as you did for my 2010 platinum. Is the silver bar just for extra stabilization, because it looks like you already have the top and bottom bars bolted down or why connect them? And how difficult was it to make room for the top light bar, did you have to do any drilling or are there factory holes?

Like those install brackets. More info as well as some night shots to show light output from behind the grill would be great.
