Default Which Diode Dynamic lumens is best for fog lights?

I see Diode Dynamics fog lights are very well suggested on several posts but which is closest to my 2014 FX4 HID stock headlights?
Bulb options: H10-HP48 280 lumens, H10-XP80 510 lumens, and H10-SLF 780 lumens

Hi there!

Just so I'm sure, are you looking for the closest option in terms of output, or color?

Closest in color to stock headlights. Stock fogs are yellowish, and not as bright as headlights. I don’t want fog lights that are way brighter than my headlights, but some that match in color/light output. I’m thinking about getting the XP80s.

Got it!

In terms of color, all our fog light bulbs will come in a 6000K "cool white" (the SLF is also available in yellow). Even without knowing the exact color of your stock headlights, I can tell you the cool white color will be a noticeably purer white, with zero yellow. For output, our XP80 will be a definitive upgrade in brightness over your stock bulbs, and our SLF will produce the brightest, most focused beam overall. Neither bulb should "overpower" your headlights, but you'd definitely notice increased visibility.

Hope this helps!

One other question. I know someone with 9005 "XML2". Which is that comparable to?

The XML2 was our old flagship fog light LED bulb. We discontinued it with the release of the SLF, which has a more optically focused beam pattern.

What was the lumens on those XML2s? The same as the SLF? That’s the color I’m trying to emulate.

The lumen rating of the XML2 was higher than the SLF (the XML2 was rated at 1420 lumens). However, the SLF provides more usable light thanks to it's more advanced optical design.

In terms of color, the XML2 offered the same 6000K cool white color as the SLF.

Lumens and color are 2 different things. Color is what youre looking for to match your headlights. If you have stock bulbs in your oem lights, they are 4300k. LED like DD said is around 6000k so its a relatively close match.
