Can I replace just the clear lense on a tail light?
A friend has a pair of FX4/Harley tail lights but the passenger outer lense has a crack in it. He's replaced them and offered them to me dirt cheap, but I want to fix the lense issue. I have my factory chrome tail lights on my truck and thought about taking both them apart and basically making one good one out of the two. Put the lense on my chrome lights on the housing of the FX4 blacked out lights. Any reason this wouldn't work? Any reason not to do it?
Thanks
Matt

I read taking apart the tails is much more difficult. Basically had to use a Drem and cut the back off completely.

You wont find just a lense. Like others have stated, you need to dremel them apart, so there is no lense available seperately.
