HID Hi/Lo install question
Ok, sorry to beat this issue to death, but I have a quesiotn.
Here is the pic of the kit I just got. It is a Hi/Lo kit with a relay.
I plugged everything in to check the connectors and ended up with a question. This is the bulbs and ballasts plugged into the relay.
Here are the wires that I have left. 2 grounds, 1 power and 1 plug for the headlights? Why do I have 1 for 2 headlight plugs or am I just totally wrong on the setup here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did order a relay after all of you your suggestions, but when I opened this one, it looks like it had one in there already as the plugs form hte ballasts usually plug into the OEM plug right?

workin for parts!!!
that looks like a hell of a mess JK. my kit looked pretty much the same. i had 1 headlight plug left over as well...driver's side if i remember. the ground can be put anywhere there is a good connection and throw the power to battery...that's what i did. i taped up my left over plug..and i think you're right about the stock plugs going to the ballasts. here's a vid that may help.

Well, I thought that the purpose of the relay was to have the power come through it. (plug the relay into the ballsts) and then the there is the one plug that is left over I assume for the stock plug. So the power comes form the battery through the relay into the ballasts and the signal to turn on can get to the lights through the one plug left from the relay?, but then I just leave one w/o anything atatched???

i never used the relay that came with my kit....and i did have 1 left over stock plug. probably should dig the relay out and install one of these days. i can't remember if the relay was for my fogs maybe. i know i only got one between the 2 kits.

Yeah,,I am gonna use that relay and use the extra one for the fogs when I do those in case the kit is missing it. I had actually used that video right before my post, but he is not using the relay so it didn't help. Thanx for the input. I will put up a full how to when done.

i dont know if you have got this done yet or not but i did the bi xenon kit on my s10 with relays. all you do is run the power wire to the positive on the battery. the 2 grounds you just ground them to the chassis or bare metal or you can ground one of them to the negative side on the battery. it is only nessacary to plug one of the headlight sockets in so choose the driver or passenger side and tuck the other plug away. and then you just mount everything and run the wire and connect everything. let me know if you need anything else
