Default "Black with light blue stripe!" Running board LEDs to come help please

I have tried and tried. I've been i side the driver side kick panel. There's no black wire with light blue. The green with orange didn't work. 2011 F150. I just really want my running board lights to come on when i unlock or open my doors. Please help. Which color wire is it and where? I don't have the overhead console... just 2 glasses holders and rear window retracter...

I think I remember in another thread it being either a purple and gray wire or a solid purple wire (depends on year) that is tied back to the dome light circuit. Try one of those under the door sill kick plate and see if that works.

No sweat. Let me know if it works. I'm about to do the same thing on my 2012. Just need to narrow down which led strips to get though...

Just a heads up. I got it working tonight using the small solid purple wire on the drivers side door sill and the small solid black wire for ground. You have to dig around in the mess of wires there and look super close as there are several purple wires with various color stripes on them and some are almost impossible to differentiate as a separate color from the purple. Take a look and let me know if this helps. The last pic is just where I pulled the wires into the cab. The clip for the door sill goes back in that same hole. It's a tight fit but it worked. Can't tell if it's generating more cabin road noise though...
