Why even consider smoked? Headlights are so you can see at night, not look cool. The F150 Special Edition or Anzo black housing will get you the desired look with the ability to see in the dark.

The Anzos are a great product and look awesome. I'd go with their Black Housings in Switchback. They are a nice dark housing that will look great. The Anzos are VERY popular. We sell them on our site but our buddies over at Stage3 have GREAT pricing on them:

Heads up though, the halogen bulbs they give you in the headlights do suck so it IS recommended you upgrade them to either HID or LED.

I love the anzos on my truck. Now my truck is white but this gives you an idea on what the anzos look like:

Hard to tell in this because of the white LED outline

This one should help you a bit, you can see how the housings are dark.

The white is the LED strip for an LED outline and for blinkers
The yellow inside is for the turn signal as well
Chrome is to reflect the blinker bulb, since the blinker is not a projection

Not sure where you are going with this... you can't legall make a DOT housing (the anzos are DOT approved) without the features above. Can't black out blinkers or headlights for that matter and have a DOT housing.

He asked for best aftermarket headlights, not a custom retrofit. Anzos seem to be the most popular aftermarket headlights.

aftermarket is anything that's not Oem. Your truck is hot btw! Anyways get a set of anzo and retrofit some projectors, put a true Hid kit on it and call it a day if you really like that style. I have already talked to some members here that want them out so look for a take off set as another option.

I've had them installed for a couple of months now, no condensation at all.
