Anzo LED Mirror Turn Signals Modified

Holy moly the fail rate of these is staggering. Is there anyone still on their 1st pair? This is reminding me of how much my friends and I loved our Xbox 360's but someone was always in the the replacement process. I have a pair that just came in the mail that I wanted to put on before I go away on 6 month course but it seems the chance they break while I'm away is greater than not.
I didn't realize the reflector just popped right off without any wires, I may just black mine out with plastidip for now and reapproach this after summer.

I'm still on my original set. On a good day MAYBE 60% of the LEDs will light.

Still on my 1st pair with all but one still working. I did have a time when all but only 4 were working when it rained for almost two weeks, but they dried out and are working again.

bittersweet install
Well I'm wishing I had read a little further into the thread to see that these are problematic before buying these but oh well, they're in now! Fingers crossed that I've sealed these up well enough to not have any problems.
I ended up going through the puddle lights to do the install because I couldn't seem to get the mirrors off. Ended up pulling the plug out on the drivers side that attaches to the existing inside mirror LEDs and wiring in through here. On the passenger side I had enough slack in the wire to use the quick splice connectors. Overall, pretty happy with how they turned out!

Fingers crossed my last pair are still going strong for nearly a year! Im surprised myself!
I did pickup 2-3" amber waterproof strips of 50/50 smd leds on ebay for $5, so if they ever do go out again. Ill lay these strips over the top of the anzo leds inside the housing, without worries of it ever happening again....

I bought these a while ago and am having a hell of a time trying to get them into the mirrors. I've tried just about every combination of way and only one of them seems to want to fit. Any pics or help would be helpful
