Another HID thread.... Ive searched and can't find answers. Please Help!
Ok here is my problem and what I've done to correct it....Which still isn't working. And BTW, no need to warn me about the legalities of HID lighting or that I should Retro fit yadda yadda..... I don't care.
I have 2012 XLT eco
DDMTUNING
H13 Bi-Xenon WITH relay harness.
Just about every time I use my lights, one or both will not fire. I have to turn off and on. Sometimes both will work and most times only one will work no matter how many times I turn them off and on.
The next day, both will work or the one that wasn't working is now working and vice versa.
I thought I may have had a grounding issue so I connected the relay harness' ground directly to the neg battery terminal. Still having the same issue. After all my research and calling local shops, the last ditch effort I can come up with is I may need some HID capacitors.
Can anyone else suggest anything better?

I'll have to look into this. Its getting really annoying. The only setup i've had on the truck that worked flawlessly were those cheap bulbs from ebay (HID low and Halogen high). I think its because each ballast is plugged into its own dealight plug, whereas the relay harness utailzes only one fo the headlight plugs and the other is left to dangle unused. Maybe they relay isnt getting enough power from just one headlight plug to power BOTH ballasts at the same time to fire the bulbs.... i don't know. I'll try the raptor thing and see ift hat works.

Let's just help the guy out and quit raggin on him... I don't know exactly what's wrong with yours. I've got the exact same set up and mine work fine. Well on low beam anyway... My high beam won't work for some reasons and that's my only problem. I even had a shop check it out and said everything was fine and they didn't know why it wouldnt work.

Thanks for all the comments guys, mostly useless BS I expected from you all with the exception of bigblue. An oncoming vehicle exposed to my lights for 3 seconds as we pass will be fine. If one happens to pass me and flips his car after I got past them, ill be sure to turn around and take their drivers licence from them FIRST, then call 911. I've passed big trucks, not retrofitted, in my low 2010 accord coupe and have seen super bright HID lights. Not once did I get all upset and felt blinded and thought "my my my, those headlights are too bright for my weak eyes. I wish the owner of that vehicle would do something about it" I'm not here to get into a pissing match. I asked a simple question and got what I expected. Nothing. If you want me to retrofit, send me the money and ill gladly do it.

I had this same problem with mine, but just on the left light, turned out one of the ballasts was bad. After replacing it everything has worked fine since. You may even try it without the relay inline. Also, tape up or cover the unused plug if you are using the relay.
