I agree. Do it Right. Or Don't Do it at All.

So, six months in with "xtremehids" 6000k kits in my high beam and fogs, I am very happy with the light output, but they take a little while to heat up so I didn't want to risk fitting them to my low beams. I had some overtime at work recently, so I have splashed out on some Philips 6000k loveliness for my low beams... Watch this space for how the expensive kit stacks up against the cheapies.

For those looking to add auxillary HID driving lights in a factory looking grill setup, I have a Hella grill/HID light setup for 2004-2008 F150's for sale in the sale/trade section. I apologize if this post has broken any rules, I just figured that those interested in anything HID will look here first and I might have their solution. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry and meant no harm.

How did you go about wiring in the kit on the aux lights? I think I've got it but I'm not sure, still looking to see someone else's set

If this is for me, I can't answer cause I never installed the kit. FWIW, you could probably go to a site that sells, Hella/PIAA/KC and many of them have the PDF wiring schemes/diagrams linked to the lights....check the offroad/4x4 sites.

That's an idea there. I never looked into them much because my plan is to retrofit a 55w kit into normal off road lights, which I wouldn't think they'd tell you about.

To google!

Just got my '07 less then a week ago, and am planning on putting some hid's in. I dont know much about them except that 6000k seems to be the most popular due to brightest with a hint of blue. If anyone knows of a good site to order them off of, or even the brand, and could get them off ebay for cheap, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking to go cheap, as i dont want problems, so dont hold back on the expensive kits.

I was looking on this site, any comments?
Also, whats the big difference (besides $50) for the standard ballast and the premium ballast....is the flickering really a big deal? Is it really worth the extra $50?

Alright so here's my issue.
I have 8000k hids hi/low and 8000k fogs. I've never had any problems until yesterday.
Yesterday, I went mudding in my truck and everything was fine, Except I noticed that my lights were on and it was mid afternoon and sunny. So I just turn them off. This morning I unlock my truck, my taillights turn on, and my parking lights, but no heads. And they won't turn on at all. No lows/highs or fogs!!! Please any help is appreciated. !!
