Default 09-14 Recon Lighting package + HID Kit?

Hi guys, been lurking around for a while now but I actually have a question to ask you folks now!

So, I was looking into purchasing the Recon Lighting package (http://www.stage3motorsports.com/R0913RLP-2009-2012-F150-Raptor-S3M-Recon-Lighting-Package-Smoked.html) and I was wondering if there are any recommendations on what kind of HID kit to pair with the projector housings. I've read that with some HID kits will interfere with the covers, seals, etc, and I'd like to avoid that. With that said, does anybody have any experience putting a HID kit into this specific housing without any troubles?

A lot of my customers have gone with our XHP70/XHP50 (depending on the projector style) for their aftermarket units. HID is a popular option as well and for those who have done HID they've gone with the Morimoto Elite HIDs.

The Recons appear to have a dual projector setup so 1 for lows, 1 for highs, which means you can do either LEDs in low and LEDs in high OR HIDs in low and LED in high. I don't have a single customer who's done both HID in highs and lows, because of the warmup time HIDs require they didn't find them usefull in the highs.

Like any aftermarket product you may need to get bigger caps for the back to make room for wires/fans/etc...

The Recons use an H1 bulb which is a smaller bulb. We sell the H1 but don't list it on our site since we only keep a very limited supply of them (not a very popular bulb size these days).

That tells me the Recon projectors are small.

We have the H1 Morimoto Elite on our site (and if you wanted the LED you'd just have to contact us direct).

So I'd do the H1 Morimoto HID if you are looking at HID for your housings.

I see. Now, if I were to go LED instead of HID, which kit would you suggest I get? And, do you happen to know how big the caps need to be to better fit the LED kit in mind or if the dust cover will also be able to put back on?

I don't know what size caps you need. You may not need them for the H1 size bulbs. Our H1 bulbs are slightly different then our other line. They don't use XHP diodes but instead use the ZES diodes from Philips. They are also less lumen, but still really bright. Pretty good stuff, we've had a few customers put them in.

As I said we do have very liimted stock on them (2 kits to be honest) because it's not a very common bulb size these days. It's a hidden link on our site if/when you are ready I can send it to you.

You could always do the Morimoto HID in the lows, our ZES Series in the highs (or high and low if you want, but in all honesty the Morimoto HID will probably give you more light in the lows then the ZES since as I said the ZES are a smaller bulb/put out less lumen... but the ZES would be better for your highs for that instant on/off when you need to flash the highs)
