2018 Morimoto XB Headlights not aligned?
#11
I’m talking with tech support now so we shale see. Thanks! Yeah I pulled them off and painted them. I did the Morimoto fog lights and the front emblem all at the same time so I just went ahead and pulled the whole bumper. You can pull those tow hook boots out through the front, but it’s only like four bolts to just pull the bumper. So knocked it all out together. My wife came home and said I was ridiculous lol.
Let me know what Tech Support says about the issue. I hope you can resolve the issue without too much trouble.
Yea looks like you disassembled the whole front end. I might do the same thing as soon as it warms up a bit.
Keep me posted if you don't mind...

On mine headlights the up down is easier to get to from the top..
So with mine to go up if you are facing the truck you turn the adjust screw to your left. You go the opposite way to go down. This was the case on both headlights.
The left to right screw adjustment is located right under the up/down screw, but the only way to access that screw is by partially removing the inner wheel liner.
It does look like that you need to move the Driver side up a little as well as move it to the sides a little.
These are my patterns. I thought they were low out of the box and i was twisting away on the screws not sure which way was which. I thought i got them to look even but then I put them on a wall at a movie theater and yeah not so much. I think I need to space them out more and raise up the driver side. Not sure how you all can get to the Low up/down screw; the left/right looks easier.
To be honest I still had the front grill off when I adjusted mine. I just took a look and yeah the left/right are pretty easy. I couldn’t get a wrench on the up/down.

Thanks for the reply. Per these instructions the left/right adjusts are the ones that are visible? But in another thread someone claims the instructions got it backwards. Will have to tinker this weekend. Also how is your fitment on the passenger side? Mine is not sitting flush and apparently I'm not the only one? Thanks!

I’m having a issue with the driver side drl not lighting up until I put the key in the ignition. Retrosource want me to send them a video of it. Apparently I’m the only one that’s had this issue

My fitment on the passenger side is a little off. It was off by a good amount the fist time, and I had to remove the grill in order to make some adjustments. It is now close to perfect but you can tell that it doesn't match the driver side. I think this is a combination of bad designs on both sides (Ford and Morimoto). I have found some things that are misaligned on my truck even after I took it for service. They cant pump out 1 million units and have them all perfect. I think that 95% of them have some type of issues...

Isn't the drivers side supposed to be aimed a little lower to prevent blinding oncoming traffic?
I got my Morimoto's installed today by dealer, for free. I specifically asked to get them aimed properly and the drivers side is a bit lower. I don't mind it, these lights kickass.
