The LED's come pre-wired with the parking lights, I suppose you could re-wire them and disconnect them, but why?

If that's the case, they sometimes have connections that can just be unplugged. Or just snip the wire and apply some heat shrink.

Default don't leave me hanging

Since this thread just stopped in its tracks, I assume that you are not pleased with the output. I too have been eyeing these verses the Anzos. but am still on the fence. we have all been burnt by aftermarket stuff. my concerns would be...
1. what is the light output with led bulbs?
2. would the led or HID generate so much heat that the plastic around the bulb melts, and smokes the lens.
3. how durable is the lens? will it pit? , will UV cloud it to the point of looking cheap?
4. do the light cutoff lines align. drives me nuts on bad HID retros.

this thread started over a month ago. how about some night pics and a update?
TIA

I've heard a few things about the DRL LED bars being pretty dim in the day. I noticed the first "on" pic you posted it was hard to tell they were on but the last one you posted they look pretty bright. Both were taken in your driveway and it looks daytime in both. I wanted something that was pretty bright for the DRLs. Thanks in advance.

The LED bar is not for DRL purposes, it's for aesthetics. Your headlights is what functions for true DRL whereas the switchback outline is just for looks only, it's not supposed to give you usable light or anything like that.

Thank you. I do understand that completely. I have LEDs for my lowbeams now (factory housing) which run as my daytime running/low beam. My concern was that the LED bars in the headlights were so dim it wouldn't look as bad-*** as I'd like it to in the day. My understanding is those LED "halos" will only run when my DRLs are on anyways (which sucks). I leave it on automatic. So when night falls my DRLs and the halos turn off and just my headlights are on, is that accurate? I was trying to find a light that would leave the halos on whenever the truck was running. Headlights on or not, you know.

Your truck looks bad *** with those new headlights. I have been looking at these and anzos. However, I was wondering about of course LED vs HID. I saw the videos one of the other guys put and I don't completely understand the difference of LED and HID, I'll have to do my research. I want the DRL to be switchback where when I turn my hazards or blinkers on they turn from LED to amber and not just on for parking, was wondering if you know if these can be wired correctly for that or if I find a separate kit or a whole new setup? I like the stock ones that already have the strips and are switchback that wra all the way around but of course to get them from dealership or put on my xlt would cost double... at least.

That’s pretty awesome customer service. Waiting to see how these all turn out with the wiring. Need to remember which site I saw an ad from yesterday also, one of them is running a promo on if you buy the morimoto’s, you also get their fogs for free. Big price difference though between those and these, so may just hold off to see how these turn out.
