Default $12 Cheap Raptor Grille LEDs FOUND

So I have a 2015 platinum and I have been wanting to put in Raptor-type clearance lights on the grill but all the kits I see online are positioned lower than I would want. So I started looking for just individual lights instead so I can install them where I would want.

FYI, Raptor lights cost about $70 for one LED which is ridiculous so I searched for an aftermarket solution.

After looking for about a day or two on the inter-webs for LEDs that looked almost identical, I found these bad boys. I compared every potential LED side-by-side with the OEMs, and these look pretty damn identical to me.

I will be installing these myself and will show you guys the end solution If you're interested. I already ordered the Silver trimmed lights and should be installing them next weekend.

I might scrap the silver trim and make them flush with the grille, who knows.

Careful with CHEAP LED products. The "2017 Raptor Style Grille" most of us used on the 2015+ trucks comes with REALLY crappy LED lights. I replaced them (when one failed) with these, which are really good. I had to silicone them in since the bolt is shorter but it's a well known brand actually (yes, even us LED guys buy some LED products from others lol)

Amazon Amazon

$18 each so you are looking at $54 total.

Thanks for the advice. Those are cool but I was looking for the oval shape.

I also go by, "the only thing that's cheap, is quality" so I always consider that when making purchases, but LED are LEDs. OEM mark-ups are ****, so I'll definitely give these a try.

ebay has been good to me so far.

You can't go by "leds are leds" as that's absolutely false. There are good leds and there are cheap leds.

Been there done that. No more cheap led's for me. Gilbert, you are talking to 3 guys who have tested, experiments, retrofitted and flat out tried numerous led styles and brands. We know what works and what lasts. Buy some that last.

I appreciate the concern and all, but there are TONS of posts on here with guys making their own clearance light mods with the same LEDs from china and stand by them. You guys think the Raptor-like kits are the actual Raptor lights and they sell them for $30? Get out of here! Hahaha

I'm no LED engineer but like I said, I will post my experience with THESE specific LEDs and let the mass know either to trust them or not.

Actually not the cheapest but the most identical. Again, I am testing out things for personal and forum purposes. If these happen to BLOW up my Platinum, I'll buy another.

I appreciate the feedback.
