09-15 OEM HID sub harness eBay find
I found this on eBay while browsing for HID lights one day. It's a Conversion sub harness that seems to use a standard h13 wire harness from the retrofitsource. Looks easy to plug all together and have OEM HID on your 2009-15.

Not sure it works that way... The bulbs you buy need to fit the housing. You can't buy a D3 bulb and fit it in your halogen housing, as the base is wrong...
If you are trying to use HID lights in your halogen housing, first that's a big NO NO, best you can do is use a quality LED kit in the halogen. But if you want to ignore that, you just need to buy the HID lights that fit the base (H13 in this case).
The 2009-2014 trucks use H13 for their bulb, so you need H13 HID bulbs so that the bulb itself can fit.
Your other problem, which is why HID should NOT be used, is that the bi-xenon HID's should not be used (or any HID) in the halogen housing as they just don't work right at all.
So if you buy that harness up top... you're not actually doing anything other then giving you the ability to use a different size bulb, which won't fit in the factory housing.

That harness let's you install the OEM HID headlights in replacement of your entire halogen headlights.
The one on ebay is only $60 and looks like it does the same as the $100 the retrofit source offers!
just tryin to save you guys some money by finding this! 👌🏻

I think you are still mistaken though... OEM HID headlights would get installed in the halogen housing as the HID bulbs are a different base...
The halogne housings are H13 base... HID bulbs are D3S base... they will not fit. So that harness is pointless since the bulbs themselves won't work.
Are you talking about putting the HID HOUSING in as well? Which would need an H13 to D3S style connector, or whatever the HID housing uses?
If that's the case that's a bit different and your ebay auction (I assume it's yours since your first post here is to point folks to an eBay auction in lieu of some other online site) needs to be clarified for folks... but still there is more to it then that. There's a solenoid on the factory HID system that lowers/raises when you go between high and low.

Hes talking about the full oem headlight replacement on trucks equipped with the halogen lights, not just bulbs...
And also that ebay ad is very confusing to me. The TRS harness is $80 not $100 like it says in the ad, I'm trying to figure out what the hell it even does?
And '15 F150 is the new body style and HID was never an option on the new style...

Well I figured he put 2015 as a mistake but yeah that's another confusing part.
I wouldn't buy this harness. It's misleading. You need a whole new housing to accommodate HID's and it makes it seem like "buy this harness and you can use HID!"
