Worst milage towing
Just for fun what's the worst milage you've averaged while towing? I'll start off 1000 mile trip averaged 6.3mpg for the trip. My truck stats are in my signature, trailer stats are 20' 14k pound with a kobota 4700 tractor with fluid in back tires, mower deck n box blade. I didn't get passed much, the eco held its own in the hills just hoped for 9ish lol

Towing a load like that is simply dangerous.

Nothing noteworthy w/ my EB (yet ... only one camping season under my belt). All towing tanks have been 9.5 to 11 thus far.
I got 8.2 mpg for a tank on my Duramax once. Towing my travel trailer (30', 6500#), headed straight in to a good headwind wind on a mountainous road (I70 heading west from Green River), had an important deadline to meet in Beaver (that would have cost me a lot more than the fuel to miss!), so I set the cruise at about 80 mph and motored.
But the worst was towing my trailer West down I84 along the Columbia River w/ my '05 Suburban. 40+ sustained headwind that did not let up. Pretty much drove in 2nd gear the whole way to maintain 45 mph ... used a full tank (32 gals) between Pendleton and Hood River (150 miles), for a total of 4.6 mpg! (note -- we bought the diesel after that trip!)

Ouch, I have a 24ft camper I get about 9-9.5 with it without a noticeable headwind. 4.5 would suck. How was my load dangerous? I would have positioned the tractor back about 6-8 inches for less weight on the truck but I had no room on the trailer. I'm guessing 8500-9000 lb total weight with the trailer, im rated 11,100... Well stock idk what a lift does to the tow rating. But it didn't sway, didn't wonder and I didn't get bright lighted once for being a hair nose high

^ you said 14k lbs so we assumed it was a 14k lb total load... anywee, that's why they make drop hitches for lifted trucks

Yea that's what the trailer is rated for, sorry for misleading you. It was the only one over 7k that they had left and I needed it badly aas the tractor alone is 5500 + the trailer weight I'd be pushing thay 7k already. Adjustable drop hitches are nice mines quick to adjust 0-8" drop and 3 ***** you spin around. Love it

This one here sucked, handled horribly on the 12 ram I had a few years ago. That was on the bumpstops the whole way with a 9k pound load, granted it was heavy to the front, but the coil springs in the back of the new Ram's squat terrible under a load. Lesson learned, never again will I white knuckle a load. It was at 7mpg with this and very very tense experience

damn, you should start checking some "Towing 101" guide... looks like it's not your first time either...
