Plan on using a sidewinder just wondering about payload

Trailer in Question
No. Well, It will pull it but by the time you hitch up you will be over payload capacity and you haven't put anything in the holding tank (500lbs), bed, allotted for clothing, dishes, food, supplies) or anything in the cab, including yourself. That pin weight may not include the full weight of your propane tanks either. I would bet that pin weight will be in excess of 1700lbs.
Plus fully loaded it is pushing a loaded weight of just over 10,250lbs.

Please do not listen to the dealer - he will tell you it's no problem at all.

Read it again, Scott. It's a 5er, not a TT. ;) But the answer is the same. With about 1,500 pounds hitch weight and only 1,651 pounds of payload capacity, that trailer will overload that F-150.

I edited it while you were posting.

NO FRICKIN' WAY!
The loaded pin weight will easily exceed your 1651lbs payload capacity.
that's why the so-called "`1/2 Ton Towable 5th Wheels" are a marketing joke.

I'm going with no. I did however see a Chevy Colorado pulling a "what had to be" 24ft dual axle enclosed trailer. It looked like an ant dragging a bowling ball.

Not a chance. Look for something much lighter and not a 5'er

I think the consensus is you need the HDPP to even consider a small 5th wheel, but that it's a lot less headache to start with a 3/4 ton.

Unless you get an Escape fiberglass 5th Wheel that 19' long.

OP: did you look at any of the threads in this group discussing "what can I tow", etc? Or did you just take the easy way by posting the question to let us explain the math to you again?
