What does a Max Tow Package include besides gears?

Max Tow is considered the Ultimate Towing package. It includes everything needed to maximize the towing ability of the 3.5 Ecoboost engine. It includes everything in the heavy duty tow package, plus 36 gallon fuel tank, 3.55 locking axle, max springs, tighter ratio steering EPAS, Max capacity receiver and bumper, and integrated brake controller.
The cooling system is no different than that of the HD Tow Package, nor is the sway bar. It does not increase GVWR either. If getting an F150 for towing, the 3.5 with Max Tow is your best deal.

This is the damn truth. My last truck, a 14, had the 6 speed non max tow and was fine pulling my 6000 lb boat, but my 18 with the 10 speed max tow is a completely different pull now, just awesome. Both 3.5 ecos with the 3.55.

My ‘12 3.5 had 3.73’s also. Haven’t pulled anything substantial enough yet to say the new ‘18 is better or not. I know it gets better mileage rolling as a daily driver. And suspect with the 10 speed it will do just fine with 3.55’s

Max Tow is 3.5 Eco with 3.55. 3.73's cause the truck to favor gears over boost, which is why the HDPP comes with 3.73. 2000 pounds in/on the bed needs gears. 3.55 cause the 3.5 Eco to favor boost over gears for towing.
