Weigh Stations - any states we must stop?
Just curious as we just got back from a 700 mile trip through 7 states...are there any states where private vehicles towing must stop at weigh stations?
I dont' recall if it was PA or NY but the way the signs were worded left me wondering if I was supposed to stop or not.

I don't know the official rules, but I've towed RV trailers in all the lower 48 states and have never stopped at the state DOT "chicken coops" to determine if they wanted to weigh my rig. And I've never been asked to pull over when I didn't even slow down for the chicken coops.
Some states, including California, might have a road block where they stop all vehicles and ask if you have any fresh fruits or vegetables. And Some states along the southern border might have a Border Patrol station where you have to stop to declare you are not hauling any illegal immigrants. But I've never been stopped to weigh my RV rig.
