Very satisfied with either Equilizer or the Fast-a-Way E2 trunion-bar (square shaft) hitches hitch. Both made by Progress Manufacturing. http://www.progressmfg.com/

Yes whatever you do dont try to swap the springs yourself with those Autozone compressors. I did the ones on my liberty which are like 100 lb/in softer than the F150 springs and the compressor was stroking out.

After that I just brought the new shocks and lift springs down to a garage to get reassembled as the lift springs were about 50 lb/in heavier.

I have heard great things about hte Bilstein 5100s. I plan on doing those and maybe an aftermarket swapbar in the spring. Even on an unloaded truck the stock shocks are a joke

Great to know about the shocks - what about a rear sway bar? I don't believe the max tow comes with one, only an upgraded front sway bar - right?

Is there anything else worth upgrading?
You are right there is no sway bar on any F150 rear end. Hellwig makes a bar that I have heard nothing but good things about. The one downside I have heard is that it hangs below the rear diff and axle so it could theoretically get hung up on stuff while offroading.

I think with a sturdy set of shocks, sway bar, maybe some air bags, and of course a properly set up WDH you shouldnt have issues. Especially with a 157" truck.
