Voideo that explains weights
Found this today, very informative, could use a few tweaks to address a couple missed items, but overall very informative.
oyvay, I misspelled video DOH! |
Good video to reinforce what I already know, thanks!
p.s. Your best best teacher is your last misteak :P |
I love the KYD channel. That being said, I think they are still over payload with the 250 diesel and new rig.
But i still love their channel and look forward to each video. |
Overall, that is a good video to explain the definitions of each rating. It is very helpful to see him calculate in passengers, cargo, gear, etc. And, I really like that he touched on sales people (truck and trailer sales) focusing on UVW as opposed to GVWR. Those folks make a ton of money on quoting unrealistic #'s.
It does amaze me that the "lighter" aluminum body F250 has such a small payload at around 2,100. My steel body, 6.2l has a payload rating of 2,766 lbs. And, when purchasing mine, I looked at a 2018 F250 6.2l in the same configuration, it had a payload of 3,200+. Very impressive. The video does have good content. |
Heard the diesel takes like 1000k of payload. Either way, if you are going 250, get the gas. 350=diesel.

250 Gas or 350 Diesel is the best option IMHO

Just go on Youtube to watch his video.
According to his spreadsheet (excel) my set up was OK. But after going to Cat scale i am over of 400 on GAWRR. Great channel by the way. |
He must be getting a kick back from ads. It is over 10 minutes too, and I think there is something about a time frame where it costs money. Click the link and watch, well worth it.
