Vintage Camper Info.
Howdy folks,
Best I can tell, my TT is a 1969 Brentwood Continental XIX (19').
I can't read the load rating on the tongue. And I can't find any good information online about the company.
I'm not too concerned about it as it's not too awful big or heavy. But I would like to know just in case someone asks. The nearest CAT scale is an hour away, so I can't just run over there and weigh it. Though I will before going on any long trips. The ratings appear to be painted on the tongue and the paint is faded and chipped away. I can't tell if they are stamped into the metal. Is it standard that they are stamped and I may can get a rubbing of it?
Do any of you folks deal or restore old TT's? Any suggestions as to where I could find more info about this trailer?
Thanks in advance,
Six

There are a ton of vintage camper forums out there. While you might not find exact information on your trailer, you will find plenty on similar trailers. Realize that many of the parts used to build your trailer came from the same manufacturers that supplied others.
A lot of camper manufacturers have come and gone. Its a tough business.
Get the brakes, tires, and axles serviced before taking it out on a trip. I would set it up in your driveway and test appliances. Make sure propane tanks are not obsolete style. Battery is probably old too.

NADAGuides, com has dozens of older RV trailer manufacturers listed, but Brentwood is not one of them

A Bing search on Brentwood, Inc. found a few Brentwood Corp businesses, but none of them sounded like they had anything to do with the RV industry.
So I struck out.
