This is my Polaris Ranger that I use to carry my gear when I shoot sporting clays.

This thing will run 60mph!

Ok. I have to ask the question just because of my ignorance People spend upwards of $25k for these when outfitted. What are these used for if you don't own a farm or ranch or at least several acres? I see these in driveways of .25 acre homes and they just appear to look good. I would think a nice road bike or a sports car would be more useful and enjoyable. No offense to anyone Just asking.

BTW... Very nice

Plus you can buy a used pickup that you can drive down the road, have AC, heat, radio, etc for much less. Heck, my used 09 F150 was less. Trust me, you're not alone

We have an 04 Polaris 6x6 and I swear to God there isn't anything that it can't do. It's got a full cab, heater, plow and it cost us $7,000 to buy it used in 06. We live on a 10 acre farm and have about 200 acres of land. It plows our lane during the winter. We had about 2 tons of rock in the back (only rated for one ton) on our third trip back it sheared the bolts right off the rear wheel. We dumped the rocks and drove home on 5 wheels, replaced the hub and it just keeps going

They don't get stuck near as easy as a pickup and are much more nimble on trails

That is a really good question, I paid 13k for mine, and could have got a very nice truck. I think it comes down to being more nimble and better off road capability..... oh and the old lady wanted it. Lol .

The father in-law has a 2012 Polaris Ranger Crew 800 LE. It is a tank, it's pulled my 750 Brute Force out of deep mud with ease. Great to hunt out of, very nice all around. I'm glad if has eps idk how anybody could drive it without it. It's as large as a Ford Ranger super cab. Lol

While we are starting to add our 'mini trucks'... Youngest brother was caught in my photo and just the wrong time while walking to look like dork. Rhino was pretty loaded down picking rocks here. Had rocks heaping in the back in the past. Got a little greedy with the front mount rack (need to shorten the tube so its not so far out there). I love picking rock in that thing but the greater 'recommended' capacity of a new JD 825i has my eye. But this one is paid for and has treated me well since '07 when I bought it new. We bent the bar on the front rack a little after this day. Having the front receiver for my multi-mount winch has paid off again with the higher capacity and lower lift height for larger rocks. The ITP mudlite xtr tires/rims I got when I bought it lower the ground psi a lot also and they have over 1k on them and still have over half of there tread with lots of gravel road use. Second pic gives you a good idea of how much she was squatting that day last spring, this shot I was out doing a little fencing. Couple months and she will be put to work again. I love running around in the F150, but if the weather agrees, I take the Rhino around the area whenever I can...and the fuel mileage and "lets go there" without any worries of getting stuck or scratching it is great.
