Lock out the top gear. I did that while towing as it kept hunting.

When towing the TT, I lock out 9 & 10 in TH mode. I can do 65mph at 2100 rpms with 65mph being the max for my TT tires, no strain. Tranny will drop to 7th gear on some long inclines, but if I keep the speed around 62-64 there are fewer downshifts. The downshift from 8 to 7 is not bad at all IMO.

Boat is less than 3000# with a full tank of gas so I have to check the rear view mirrors to make sure it's still back there. Gross on the TT is 7400# but we travel on the light side.

i use cruise all the time with my camper.. granted mine weighs like 5k loaded, but when coming up on long hills (up or down) i take off the cruise and drive accordingly. Always remember when going down long downgrades, never ride your brakes, always stab brake and use the tow/haul mode to your advantage

I use cruise all the time. 65MPH, lock out 6th gear (6-speed) and let it go. I do back it off in the mountains if I encounter a steep hill. 8200# TT
