Upgraded towing mirrors for a 2005 f-150 2wd

I recently bought an '05 in mint condition with under 60,000 miles. It came with the factory HD tow package & while the mirrors are extremely large compared to my 2010 Flex (for sale - good deal to Forum members) I'd like heated folding & telescoping mirrors. Heated & power folding are the most important but I'm open to all improvements.

Ford ceases production of replacement parts after about 10 years. Your 2005 is 13 years old, so I can't find OEM tow mirror kits for your truck.

But 1A Auto Parts has excellent aftermarket parts, that replace the OEM parts.

This set of towing upgraded mirrors are designed to fit and function just like the original. However, if the
vehicle did not come equipped with all of the features noted, additional wiring may be required for
complete operation.

Those aftermarket tow mirrors have:
  • Power Glass
  • Heated upper & lower glass
  • Smoked Turn Signal/Clearance Light
  • Power Folding - installation kit included
If your stock mirrors are not heated glass with turn signals and power folding, those functions won't work as plug&play, but those features can be made to work by additional wiring and switches.

Thanks! I just have the heated with LED turn signals but lucky for me the mechanic I use worked at the dealership where my F-150 was purchased. He'll figure out how to make them work.

It still hasn't rolled 60,000 yet but I'm having him replace the spark plugs before I head out on the road. I have a Flex with the sideways V6 & the top of the engine has to come off to replace the rear plugs. He said he'd do that anyday vs reaching the two rear plugs on my 5.4L so maybe it's like my Dad's 1959 Fairlane wagon. I changed those when I was 12 & he didn't own any sockets (darn carpenters) so I used the steel tube wrench with a screwdriver stuck through it. That was 53 years ago & I still remember it being a PIA.
