Trailer Lighting Module Fault-Check Manual???
So I recently traded my 14' Raptor Supercrew in on a 15' King Ranch Supercrew. This is the 5th King Ranch Supercrew I have owned and my least favorite by far! For every single cool new feature of the new truck there are at least 3-4 problems. Anyway the latest of many issues is a trailer lighting module fault-check manual. Unfortunately, I can't see where the manual addresses the issue??? This is a trailer with the four prong flat blade trailer connector. The thing is it seemingly works just fine but gives me the error each time I turn the truck on and off when connected to the trailer. Although it also sometimes says that there is no trailer connected! This is not the only issue I have had with the trailer lighting as every other trailer I own have brakes and seven blade round connectors and constantly goes between trailer connected/disconnected and every single time I cycle the ignition resets my trailer brake gain to 10. Since I only need about 2.5 on my gain it has dragged a flat spot on the tires of every trailer I own! HELP!!! I just finished having two of my trailers professionally rewired to try to take care of any possible issues with the guys saying there was nothing wrong with either of them!!!!

Same issue here
Did you ever get to the bottom of your issue. My 2016 f150 sport just thrown the same error on my trailer. Took it to ford and they said it was because the trailer brake module hadn't been fitted (it should have had one fitted). They fitted it and cleared the errors. Went to hook the trailer up and same error came up. Just wondering if you got it fixed before I post - thx

well he had this problem as well we spent 5 hours trying to figure this out.. and finally i called my son and he told us to run a wire from the back of the trailer tail lights (the ground screw) to the ground on the front of the trailer on each side to see if that will work and it did now we get no faults and the lights work great.. the new truck are so sensitive we have 2019 ford 150 .. hope this helps anyone..

As I was reading thru the thread, this was going to be my proposed solution; a bad ground, but Mr. Gallant beat me to it! Good job, everyone!
