I'm also a little confused... no comment!

I have read that propane, batteries and a full tank of fresh water are SOMETIMES included already in the UVW can accounted for on the yellow CCC sticker and sometimes they must be subtracted from the yellow sticker (as they have NOT be included).

But I have also read (many places) water, propane, batteries MUST be subtracted from the CCC.

Can someone please set me straight?

Again, don't worry about people in the trailer. The weight limits really only apply to safely moving a vehicle. You can probably throw a party and fill the trailer with people when stationary.

AFAIK the trailer's dry weight and dry tongue weight usually does not include propane or even the batteries, it's just the trailer weight from the factory.

Both propane and battery are on the tongue and so add ~100% of their weight to your truck's payload. In my case with two 30# propane tanks and two batteries, they can add 160# to the tongue weight.

Also much of my trailer's storage is in the front pass-thru and cupboards next to and above the bed, and the space below the bed, all close to the tongue.

It's good that you are picking up on these issues.

Not to be a party spoiler but here is my $0.02. I worked at a Jayco dealership for 14 months as a RV Tech. Prior to my starting they had started to sell the coachmen trailers. I personally found the fit and finish to be very high caliber both inside and outside. After time though we noticed that the coachman line had many problems that kept coming back for warranty work. Again just my observation, I would not buy a coachmen trailer.

Party in my trailer, then.

Figured as much for the weights - thanks for confirming.

This is why I'm here to get people's input.

We were impressed with both Jayco's and Coachmen's fits & finish. Some we had looked at left a lot to be desired.

Can I ask what the Coachmen issues were you saw come into the shop?

That CCC is low. That being said, in the few trips I have taken to the scales we have only ever been over 1k in cargo once and that was for a 10 day 2k mile trip.

How many in the trailer? It would be just the two of us and I plan on laying down the law when it comes to cargo! (wish me luck)

Oh my - just ran numbers again and found GVWR (why is this so complicated??).

It seems with my vehicles GVWR of 7050 I'm right at the max with anything needing ~ 800-900# tongue (curb 5400, pass 500#, cargo 1000#).

Now what?

Typically electrical issues, LED lights, some bad wiring termination at points are the one I can recall

Can you move some of that 1000lbs of cargo to the trailer?
